Beware of the Car!

Yuri Detochkin (Innokentiy Smoktunovskiy) is a mild insurance agent by day who steals cars by night, but only from crooks, never from ordinary people. He sells them and hands the money to charity. Eldar Ryazanov sets Oleg Efremov's investigator on his trail, a cop who happens to be Detochkin's friend, in a Soviet comedy where the thief's real target is the greed and privilege the law lets slide.
