Beyond the Darkness

“A fate worse than death!”

Frank Wyler (Kieran Canter), a young embalmer, digs up the grave of his dead girlfriend Anna (Cinzia Monreale) and carries her body back to the family villa. Iris (Franca Stoppi), the housekeeper, helps him and keeps her own counsel, and Joe D'Amato follows the household's routines in plain, unhurried detail. What Frank cannot let go of is the one person he has been refusing to bury.
