Bhaji on the Beach

“A day to set yourself free.”

A coach pulls out of Birmingham carrying a group of South Asian women on a day trip to Blackpool. Ginder (Kim Vithana) sits among them with a problem she has not yet said aloud, and Hashida (Sarita Khajuria) has her own. Gurinder Chadha lets the women spill across the promenade in their saris and cardigans, each one carrying the trouble she meant to leave at home.
