Michael (Mammootty) runs his family in 1980s Kochi, and people there fear him and respect him in about equal parts, mostly because of a past he never discusses. Some of the younger members of the household, among them Ajas (Soubin Shahir), have had enough of his hold on their lives and start making deals with his enemies. Amal Neerad shoots the family's house and its wealth with slow, unhurried attention, and he lets the trouble build quietly inside it.
