Big Brown Eyes

Eve Fallon (Joan Bennett), a fast-talking manicurist, gets pulled into newspaper work and starts chasing a jewel theft ring alongside her boyfriend, Detective Sergeant Danny Barr (Cary Grant). The trail soon leads to the murder of a baby, and Raoul Walsh keeps the wisecracks coming while the case turns darker. Two people who joke at each other all day find that their banter is how they both cope with the crime they are chasing.
