Big Driver

“Murder is a two-way street.”

A desolate stretch of New England road is where Tess Thorne (Maria Bello), a successful mystery writer, ends up after a book-club talk, brutally assaulted and left behind. Mikael Salomon follows her home and into a plan she tells almost no one, with Ramona (Ann Dowd) and Doreen (Olympia Dukakis) both drawn into her orbit. Tess sits at her kitchen table in the quiet, the road still behind her eyes.
