Big Fish

(2003)Directed by Tim Burton125 min · PG-13Adventure, Fantasy, Drama
An adventure as big as life itself.

Will Bloom (Billy Crudup) returns home to reconcile with his dying father, Ed (Albert Finney), a man whose life stories have always seemed too wild to be true. As Ed recounts his past, the film shifts back to show a younger version of himself (Ewan McGregor) moving through a landscape of giants and witches and impossible escapes. What matters is not whether the stories happened, but that they were the life his father chose to live and share.
