Insurance salesman Leonard Hoffman (Alan Arkin) can't cover the bills, and his triplet sons all want to go to Yale. Then Blanche Rickey (Beverly D'Angelo) walks in, worried her millionaire husband Steve (Peter Falk) will spend every dollar before his weak heart gives out, and she has a murderous plan to fix both their problems. John Cassavetes, in his last film, directs a story about people with no money, or too much, and how far they will go for it.
