“They have forty-five minutes to save the world. They need forty-six.”

A suitcase turns up in Miami, and a lot of people want it. Eliot Arnold (Tim Allen), a divorced dad, and Anna Herk (Rene Russo), an unhappy housewife, get pulled into the scramble along with two hitmen, two street thugs, two FBI men and a psychedelic toad. Barry Sonnenfeld, adapting Dave Barry's novel, lets the strangers collide, and the one that matters most is the slow pull between Eliot and Anna.
