“Survival of the fastest.”

By day they are white-collar workers in suits and ties, and by night and on weekends they pull on leather and helmets and ride as an all-Black motorcycle club in Cali. Smoke (Laurence Fishburne), known as the King of Cali, leads them, and Kid (Derek Luke), a young racing prodigy, forms a rival club of his own. Reggie Rock Bythewood shoots the drag races as short, loud bursts of speed, so the rivalry plays out in the crowd's noise.
