“London is not going to know what hit it!”

The record has a gap in it. Nobody knows what William Shakespeare was doing in his lost years, and this film fills it with Bill (Mathew Baynton), a hopeless lute player who leaves home to chase fame. Richard Bracewell directs the Horrible Histories team, with Simon Farnaby and Jim Howick each cycling through a long run of parts. Baynton stands at the start of it, lute in hand, a man with a dream and not much else.
