“Young. Handsome. And cunning.”

Joe Hunt (Ansel Elgort) wants a seat among the rich kids of early-1980s Los Angeles, and he builds one by gathering wealthy young friends, among them Dean Karny (Taron Egerton), into an investment club. James Cox follows the group as the money starts coming in and Ron Levin (Kevin Spacey), a flashy older financier, moves into their orbit. It's a story about how easily a handful of ambitious kids can talk themselves into believing the wealth is already theirs.
