Bingo: The King of the Mornings

“Clowning around can cost your soul”

Augusto Mendes (Vladimir Brichta) is a young actor in 1980s Brazil who wants a place in the sun, and he takes whatever work comes, from porn studios to soap operas. Then he lands the part of Bingo, a clown hosting the country's top-rated children's show, and daily fame finally arrives. Daniel Rezende, directing for the first time, keeps the focus on the man under the rice powder and red nose, whom no viewer ever sees.
