Birdcage Inn

“Same age, same space and different life…”

Jin-a (Lee Ji-eun), a young prostitute, takes a room at the Birdcage Inn, a seaside motel run by a family that has no interest in being kind to her. The owners' daughter, Hye-mi (Lee Hae-eun), starts to draw close anyway, and Kim Ki-duk follows the two of them as the friendship pulls at old hurts. What the film keeps returning to is how much a person can give up, and how hard it is to leave a place that has already decided who you are.
