Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)

“How did we end up here?”

Riggan (Michael Keaton), a faded actor famous for playing the superhero Birdman, returns to Broadway to direct and star in a stage adaptation of a Raymond Carver story. His daughter Sam (Emma Stone) works the box office, and a voice in his head, Birdman's voice, won't stop talking. Iñárritu shoots the film in one continuous take, the camera moving through backstage chaos and dressing rooms with the rhythm of panic.
