Birdy
“A soaring experience unlike anything you've ever seen before.”
Birdy (Matthew Modine) has wanted to be a bird since boyhood, and after the Vietnam War he believes he is one, sitting naked and silent in a mental hospital ward. The army calls in his old friend Al Columbato (Nicolas Cage) to reach him, and Alan Parker moves between the wrecked present and their teenage years in 1960s Philadelphia. Al talks and Birdy stays quiet, two boys who once shared everything now separated by a locked room.
