Bizarre, Bizarre
Victorian London, where Irwin Molyneux (Michel Simon), a botanist who secretly writes lurid crime novels under the name Félix Chapel, is expected to keep up appearances for his cousin, Archibald Soper (Louis Jouvet), an Anglican bishop campaigning against that very kind of writing. Marcel Carné fills the house with lies, and a milkman named Billy (Jean-Pierre Aumont) wanders in. The farce runs on how far respectable people will go to protect their good name.
