Black Bread

“The lies of adults raise little monsters.”

Andreu (Francesc Colomer) is a boy on the losing side of the war, and in the hard years after it, he wants one thing: to clear his father's name. He finds a man and his son dead in the forest of the Catalan countryside, and the authorities are ready to pin the killings on his father. Agustí Villaronga adapts Emili Teixidor's novel and keeps the camera at a child's height.
