Jess (Olivia Hussey) lives in the Pi Kappa Sigma sorority house, where the girls are packing for the holidays when the phone starts ringing with obscene calls from a stranger. Bob Clark keeps the house full of noisy girls, their housemother Mrs. Mac (Marian Waldman) and Barb (Margot Kidder), while Lt. Fuller (John Saxon) is brought in to listen. The danger comes in through an ordinary telephone, and a house full of people can still leave one of them alone.
