In the Clover Kingdom, where magic decides a person's worth, Asta (Gakuto Kajiwara) has none and wants to be Wizard King anyway. Four banished Wizard Kings from long ago come back to crush the kingdom, and Asta and his rival Yuno (Nobunaga Shimazaki) are pulled into the fight. Ayataka Tanemura makes the film as a crowd-pleaser, but it rests on a boy who keeps swinging his sword at things he cannot beat.
