“How much snake can one woman take...”

Judas Carmichael (Jack Palance), a wealthy bachelor, moves a topless dancer named Eva (Laura Gemser) into his home after a quick courtship, and the house is already full of his exotic snakes. Joe D'Amato shoots it in the grainy, close-up manner of 1970s Italian exploitation, with the reptiles never far from the frame. Under the seduction sits a plain question of ownership: who gets to keep a person, and on what terms.
