Black Mask

Tsui Chik (Jet Li) is a former super-soldier who fled a canceled military project and now works quietly as a librarian, close friends with the police inspector Shek Wai-Ho (Lau Ching-wan). When gangland murders start turning up with the marks of his old comrades, he puts on a disguise and takes the fight into the city himself. Daniel Lee and Yuen Woo-ping set it in Hong Kong's nightlife underworld, a librarian's quiet days behind him and a mask over his face.
