Black Souls

“There's only one way to end bad blood”

In the Calabrian hills, Luciano (Fabrizio Ferracane) lives quietly as a farmer, long finished with the drug smuggling that made his family's name. His brothers Luigi (Marco Leonardi) and Rocco (Peppino Mazzotta) still run the trade, and Luciano's impetuous teenage son keeps pulling him back toward it. Francesco Munzi films the family's closed, sunbaked world with a patient, unhurried eye.
