Blackbeard, the Pirate

“The thunder of their plundering shook the earth, the seas, the sky!”

How does an honest man end up as ship's surgeon to Blackbeard (Robert Newton), the most feared pirate afloat? That is the trouble facing Robert Maynard (Keith Andes), who has no taste for the work and no clear way out of it. Raoul Walsh keeps the camera moving and the crew loud, and the whole picture runs at the pace of a deck in full cry.
