Blade of the Immortal

“His path is paved in blood.”

Manji (Takuya Kimura), a samurai cursed with a body that will not stay dead, takes on a job he cannot refuse: guarding Rin Asano (Hana Sugisaki), a young girl whose parents were cut down by swordsmen under Anotsu (Sota Fukushi). Takashi Miike sends them on a road of vengeance, and Manji keeps fighting because only killing the wicked can win back his soul. He has already lost his sister to murder, and every fight leaves him with more to answer for.
