“There's something evil hiding in the woods.”

A video posted online seems to show a figure in the Black Hills Forest of Maryland, and James Donahue (James Allen McCune) believes it is his sister Heather, missing there since 1994. He heads into the woods with Lisa Arlington (Callie Hernandez), Peter Jones (Brandon Scott), Ashley Bennett (Corbin Reid) and two local guides. Adam Wingard keeps the group close, friends who share every meal and tent, with James the one person who cannot turn back.
