Blanche Fury

(1948)Directed by Marc Allégret90 minDrama, Thriller, Romance
“Young, lovely, passionately beautiful ... and her love was as wild and tempestuous as her name!”

Why would a penniless governess marry a cousin she does not love? Blanche Fury (Valerie Hobson) joins the household of her wealthy relations, then weds the dull Laurence (Michael Gough) to secure a place there. Marc Allégret follows her into a romance with the steward Philip Thorn (Stewart Granger), and together they scheme to take the whole Fury estate, whatever it costs.
