Blind Mountain

Traffickers trick Bai Xuemei (Huang Lu), a young student, and sell her as a wife to a family in a remote mountain village. Li Yang, whose first feature since Blind Shaft this is, shows what follows through her days in the household of Huang Degui (Yang Youan), where she is beaten and kept, with villagers who see nothing to be done. Xuemei keeps looking for a way home that no one around her will help her find.
