Blind Shaft

Song Jinming (Li Yixiang) and Tang Zhaoyang (Wang Shuangbao) work the illegal coal mines of northern China, where they pass off a fellow miner as a relative and kill him underground. Then they collect hush money from the owner for the "accident." Li Yang, adapting Liu Qingbang's short novel Shen Mu, follows them to their next victim, a boy new to the work. One partner starts to hesitate, and the other notices.
