Bliss

In a Turkish village where custom decides what a family must do about shame, Meryem (Özgü Namal), about seventeen, has been raped, and the elders rule that she must die to restore the family's honor. The village leader's eldest son, Cemal (Murat Han), is ordered to take her to Istanbul and kill her. Abdullah Oğuz sets their journey against the open road and lets the long silences between the two do the work.
