Blithe Spirit

“True love never dies.”

Charles Condomine (Dan Stevens), a writer in the late 1930s, can't get a page finished and wants a story worth telling. He invites the medium Madame Arcati (Judi Dench) to hold a seance for research, and it brings back Elvira (Leslie Mann), his dead first wife, now sharing the house with his second, Ruth (Isla Fisher). Edward Hall, making his feature debut, leaves Charles sitting at his typewriter, three women's names among the pages, his pen not yet moving.
