Blonde Crazy
“Jim's back!... with a brand new line!”
In 1931, hotel bellhop Bert Harris (James Cagney) is a cocky operator with a quick mouth and an eye for any angle that pays. He teams up with Anne Roberts (Joan Blondell), a hotel employee as sharp as he is, and the two start working marks together, with Louis Calhern's "Dapper Dan" Barker a smoother grifter in the same trade. Roy Del Ruth's film treats the con as a game of nerve, where the money is easy to get and the people in the way are harder to leave behind.
