Blood and Bones

Kim Shun-Pei (Takeshi Kitano) leaves Cheju Island for Osaka in 1923 as a teenager, wanting only to get ahead in a country that has little use for him. Yoichi Sai follows him through the years in a poor Korean-Japanese community, where he builds a kamaboko factory and works his employees hard. Under the violence and greed runs one plain question: what a man will do to his own family to keep what he has made.
