“There is a place between the living and the dead... and it's open 24 hours”

A golf ball through a basement window wakes Boya (Gordon Currie), a vampire who has slept twenty-five years and now surfaces in 1994 Toronto. He takes a cab to the cemetery for his belongings, settles into a cheap hotel near an all-night donut shop, and drinks only rats and pigeons now. Holly Dale lets the story drift through the shop's late hours, where Boya falls for the waitress Molly (Helene Clarkson) and the Crime Boss (David Cronenberg) looms.
