Blood Brothers

“No one could stand in their way... and live!”

Chang Wen Hsiang (David Chiang Da-Wei) is a man of the late Ching Dynasty who stands by his sworn brothers, among them Ma Hsin I (Ti Lung) and Huang Chung (Chen Kuan-tai). Chang Cheh builds the story around that bond and the scandal that tests it, a betrayal tied to a friend's wife. Ti Lung won Taiwan's Golden Horse Award for the role, and the film says plainly what it believes: loyalty between men does not survive envy.
