Blood Rain

“Period crime thriller.”

Investigator Lee Won-kyu (Cha Seung-won) is sent from the capital to a small island village in 1808, where a string of gruesome murders has the residents afraid to leave their houses. His inquiry runs into the sealed rules of the village and the old killings buried beneath it. Kim Dae-seung sets the case in the shadow of the Joseon crackdown on Catholics, and what ties Lee to the young Du-ho (Ji Sung) is a mutual suspicion he can't afford to lose.
