Blood Simple

“Passion led to Adultery. Adultery led to Murder. It all seemed so simple...”

Julian Marty (Dan Hedaya), who owns a seedy bar in small-town Texas, learns that his wife Abby (Frances McDormand) is sleeping with his bartender Ray (John Getz). He hires a private detective (M. Emmet Walsh) to deal with the two of them. Joel Coen's debut follows what happens when every person in the story acts on a wrong guess about what the others have done.
