Blood Wedding

In Madrid, a flamenco company gathers in a rehearsal studio for a last run-through of Lorca's *Blood Wedding*, the dancers still in practice clothes. Leonardo (Antonio Gades) and the Bride (Cristina Hoyos) take their places, along with the Groom (Juan Antonio Jiménez) and the Mother (Pilar Cárdenas). Carlos Saura has them dance the play's story of a bride who runs from her wedding with a former lover, and the Bride's choice puts everyone around her at risk.
