Blue Giant

“Witness the origin of the next great jazz legend.”

Dai Miyamoto (Yuki Yamada) hears jazz for the first time as a high school student, buys a saxophone, and leaves his small hometown for the nightclubs of Tokyo. There he practices alone, finds players willing to join him, and learns how little a musician's life gives back. Yuzuru Tachikawa tells a story about the distance between loving music and being good enough to make a living from it.
