Blue Hawaii

(1961)Directed by Norman Taurog102 min · PGMusic, Comedy, Romance
“Ecstatic romance... Exotic dances... Exciting music IN THE WORLD'S LUSHEST PARADISE OF SONG!”

Chad Gates (Elvis Presley) steps off the plane in Hawaii, fresh out of the army, and heads for the beach instead of his father's door. His mother, Sarah Lee (Angela Lansbury), wants him working at the family business, but Chad takes a job as a tour guide with his girlfriend Maile (Joan Blackman). Norman Taurog's film is about a young man choosing the work and the life he would rather have over the one his family planned.
