Blue Is the Warmest Color
“To love.”
Adèle (Adèle Exarchopoulos), a French teenager, glimpses a blue-haired woman on the street and feels desire stir without knowing why. When Emma (Léa Seydoux), an aspiring painter, enters her life, Adèle discovers a freedom her small world never promised. Kechiche shoots their bodies and faces with such closeness that the camera itself becomes an act of devotion, collapsing distance until there is almost nothing between the watching and the seen.
