Blue Ruin

“Revenge comes home.”

Dwight Evans (Macon Blair) is a drifter who lives out of a beat-up car near a beach, scavenging and keeping to himself, until news from his past sends him back to his childhood home. Jeremy Saulnier follows him there as a man with a plan and no skill at carrying it out, and his sister Sam (Amy Hargreaves) is the family he is trying to protect. The film treats revenge as a trap that ordinary people walk into with no training and no clear way to stop.
