Blue Thunder

“He's out there…”

Murphy (Roy Scheider), a Metropolitan Police helicopter pilot in Los Angeles still carrying what he saw in Vietnam, is handed a test flight in Blue Thunder, an experimental chopper loaded with weapons. His new partner Lymangood (Daniel Stern) rides along to run the equipment, while John Badham keeps the camera in the cockpit and over the rooftops. What Murphy finds is a machine built to watch a whole city, and a police department that wants it watching.
