Blue Valentine

“A Love Story.”

Dean (Ryan Gosling) and Cindy (Michelle Williams) live in a modest neighborhood with their young daughter, and the marriage has gone quiet in the wrong way. Derek Cianfrance cuts between the first days of their romance and the worn-down years that follow, so each good memory sits beside what became of it. Dean wants things to stay simple, Cindy has pulled away from him, and neither one knows how to reach the other.
