Bluebeard's Eighth Wife

Nicole De Loiselle (Claudette Colbert), the daughter of a broke French Marquis, will not be filed away as the eighth in a line of wives. Michael Brandon (Gary Cooper), an American multi-millionaire, has married her anyway, with seven ex-wives behind him and no doubt that the number won't matter. Lubitsch directs, and Nicole sets about taming him her own way, set on being the one he can't forget.
