“First he changed music, then he changed the world.”

Bob Marley (Kingsley Ben-Adir) wants to bring Jamaica together through his music, and by the mid-1970s his songs have carried him from Kingston to a worldwide audience. Reinaldo Marcus Green follows him through the years that lead to his death in 1981, with Rita Marley (Lashana Lynch) and producer Chris Blackwell (James Norton) close around him. Kingsley Ben-Adir stands at the microphone, the band behind him, a crowd waiting for the next song.
