Body Heat

(1981)Directed by Lawrence Kasdan113 min · RThriller, Crime
“As the temperature rises, the suspense begins.”

Ned Racine (William Hurt) is a small-time Florida lawyer who gets by on charm and not much else, and he meets Matty Walker (Kathleen Turner) during an extreme heatwave. She is married to the wealthy Edmund (Richard Crenna), and the two of them begin an affair that turns toward the idea of getting rid of him. Lawrence Kasdan, in his first film as director, lets them circle each other in the heat, and every move one makes is a question about the other.
