Andy Jones (Stephen Graham) arrives at his popular London restaurant already carrying a mess of personal and professional crises, and he has to run the kitchen through its busiest night of the year anyway. His kitchen runs on Carly (Vinette Robinson), his sous chef, and on a staff stretched thin. Philip Barantini films it in a single unbroken shot, with Graham in his chef's whites under the kitchen lights.
