“The Ravel Mystery”

Maurice Ravel (Raphaël Personnaz) cannot find the music. The most celebrated composer in France has a commission in hand and nothing to show for it, and the pressure falls on him in the shape of a ballet. Ida Rubinstein (Jeanne Balibar), the Russian dancer who asked for it, waits for him to deliver. Anne Fontaine follows the weeks of preparation around Misia Sert (Doria Tillier), one of the women closest to him, and the tenderness and distance between them.
