Bomb: A Love Story

Mitra (Leila Hatami) lives in Tehran in 1988, where the bombs of the Iran-Iraq War fall night after night and every day carries a low dread of the next one. Iraj (Payman Maadi) is part of the same frightened city, and the film follows how affection and hope keep turning up among people who expect to die. Maadi, who also wrote it, has Mahmoud Kalari shoot the war as a pressure on ordinary rooms and ordinary lives.
